HairMax Laser Therapy

Did you know that lasers light therapy has been used for medical purposes and deemed safe for awhile?

In the late 1960's a Hungarian doctor, Endre Mester wanted to study if Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT would be carcinogenic on mice to his surprise the laser didn't cause cancer but did stimulate hair growth on the mice's backs.  This was the first demonstration of “photobiostimulation” with LLLT, and it opened a new path in the field of medicine.

The Hairmax Lasercomb® was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and received 510 K clearance as a safe therapy for the treatment of male AGA otherwise known as male pattern hair loss in 2007 and female AGA or female pattern hair loss in 2011. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/eutils/elink.fcgi?dbfrom=pubmed&retmode=ref&cmd=prlinks&id=23970445

At LP Studio we use the Hairmax laser along with topical minoxidil and scalp stimulants to treat AGA. In order for the laser to be effective it must be used 3 times a week. In 2014 Hairmax lasers  were the first lasers FDA  cleared  for safe and effective  home use for the treatment of hereditary hair loss and stimulation of hair growth in men and women.
